Fred The Postcard

Fred

This is Fred, the first of the BrainBashers globe-trotting postcards. Fred's quest is to travel the world, short and far. To visit every corner. To find lots of friends. Some of his journeys will be short, some will be long, but each will be exciting.

Fred started his journey on 1st March, 2008. He started from a little village in England, called Mow Cop, which is in the county of Staffordshire. His first trip was a short one, to Wolverhampton in Staffordshire, UK. This is his route so far:

Mow Cop, Staffordshire, UK [March 1, 2008]

Fred started his world-wide journey on a damp Winter's morning in Mow Cop, a little village in middle of England. Mow Cop is famous for its folly castle. Fred was sent to my wife's stepfather in Wolverhampton, travelling South around 40 miles.

Wolverhampton, West Midland, UK [March 16, 2008]

Fred arrived, after a small delay, in Wolverhampton, the 45th largest city in the UK. Fred has been photographed beside the statue of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's husband. Fred was sent to the recipient's sister in Scotland.

Appin, Argyll, Scotland [March 19, 2008]

Fred arrived in Scotland a few days later, a journey North of around 400 miles. In the photo, we can just see Castle Stalker, a four storey tower house picturesquely set on a tidal islet on Loch Laich, an inlet off Loch Linnhe. Fred was then sent to some of the recipient's friends in Boston, USA. Let's hope he arrives!

But where is Fred now? We can only wait and hope he arrives safely and tells us all about his journey...
